Panasonic KX-TD500 and Panasonic KX-T336 Programming Software for Windows
Program can be used: |
- With all versions of the KX-T336 PBX
- For programming of the KX-TD500 PBX with the 1st version of processor board.
Attention! |
In 1999, the PANASONIC Company produced a processor board of the 2nd version for the KX-TD500 PBX. This board has a different programming protocol, which is why the program cannot be used with such PBX's. To check whether this program is suitable for your particular PBX try to connect with the PBX. If you have the KX-TD500v2 PBX, then you will not be able to connect. If you have already programmed the PBX with a terminal program (for example, Telix, Procomm or HyperTerminal which is included in Windows), then you have an KX-TD500 of the 1st version and this program can be used with this PBX.

The program provides the following possibilities: |
- to change settings of the PANASONIC KX-T336/KX-TD500v1 office exchange, with the aid of convenient graphic interface;
- commands are grouped in accordance with functional area, this makes operation of the exchange noticeably easier;
- to save status of the exchange as a file on disk - this will help later to restore status of the exchange after malfunctions or to create several configurations for various conditions
To operate the program you will need the following items: |
- PC-compatible computer, operating under Windows 95/98/NT/2000. The computer shall be provided with one free COM-port, which shall be used for hookup of the exchange.
- Well soldered-up (null-modem) connecting cable. More detailed information concerning application of the program you will find in the build-in help system after installation of the program.
A PC-compatible computer operating Windows 95/98/NT is required for program operation. The program can not be used with the following operation systems:
- Windows 3.1/3.11
- Windows CE (i.e. with the 'on-palm' handheld computers)
- Apple Macintosh
- Linux, BSD, UNIX
The program occupies about 1.5Mb of the disc space after installation.
The computer must have at least one free COM-port (it is called RS232 port, as well). This port will be used for the connection cable to the PBX. Most modern computers have two such ports (they are usually designated with the inscriptions 'COM1' and 'COM2' on the back side; the 9-contact or 25-contact plug-type connections of 'male' type are most common). These ports could be already occupied for the connection of your mouse or an external modem.
